Moot House is an attractive 19th century grade II listed house, originally built circa 1840 to house the
incumbent of nearby St Mary-at-Latton church.
Over the years, circumstances and fortunes changed, and in the 1950's the house came into the ownership of Essex County Council.
In 1987, a disastrous fire caused considerable damage, and a full refurbishment and redecoration programme was
carried out.
Many and various are the activities which take place under its roof, and a full list is available on request
from the office.
